Ok, Christmas is coming, and maybe, maybe there will be something that will interest you - as a gift to yourself or to a significant other - in the following (all prices are without scabbard and S&H) :
A thin (yet unfinished, needs more sanding, and sharpening) push dagger.
1075 (XC75) steel, full quench, yellow temper, scale tang construction, asymetric boxwood handle, steel nails. Handle is 54 mm wide, OAL 117 mm. Blade thickness is 2 mm at base. I'm asking 60 euros for that.
An old file folder (I made the blade about 2 years ago, which explains a lot) :
Old file (really ?
), diff HT, dark yellow temper, oak handle. OAL (folded/unfolded) 205/231 mm (that's not much of a difference, but that's due to the long 'tail'). Blade is about 101 mm long when unfolded, and 3 mm thick - a lot of meat on this one. The temper line, though a bit low, is nice and crisp. I'm asking 80 euros for that one.
I can add brass, copper or tin inlays on the handle, for an additional price depending on the complexity of the task.
Two alike and yet different :
Old files (same as above), diff quench (better controlled this time), yellow temper in my mom's oven, veg tanned leather wrapped handle. OALs (resp top/bottom) are 154 mm and 152 mm, not counting the leather bits. They can be sold separately, at 80 euros each.
I can make scabbards/sheaths for any or all of the above, to your specifications - price will therefore vary according to the complexity of your requests (for instance carved decoration, suspension systems, etc..), bu will be at least 25 euros.
Also, remember that the following are still available :
Full Metal Folder :
at 80 euros
Faerie Folder (and its scabbard)
at 160 euros
at 130 euros with the scabbard
Also, the Push Dagger of my previous post.
The roundel dagger, and black leather dagger are on hold. Good friends have asked for them, so I'm willing to wait for a confirmation on their behalf
Please note that my prices will unjustly raise in 2008, for several reasons. I'm not too happy with it, but that's a decision I had to make, as selling these kinves funds my studies and helps me and my family make both ends meet (after all, that's a Christmas story, no ?)
