Personally I would stay away from it or at the very least try to get to handle it before buying it, so that you know what it is you're getting. I personally think the handling sucks, it feels like a dead steel plank that fights you when you try to use it. And it's rather ugly.

Save your money, get a sword or feder from Peter Regenyei.

What's particularly wrong with them as I had one recommended to me to replace my tinker Pearce bastard sword

Hanwei stuff is very hard to come by in the UK right now. I could probably get you a replacement Tinker Bastard, but I know for certain I couldn't get a Hanwei.

Didn't Hanwei's factory burn down and then the Chinese government changed some law or something? Whatever the reason, Hanwei seem to be on the way out.

You could well be right. I remember something along those lines. Chenness has stopped selling anywhere outside of the US due to the massive shipping costs from China. I've noticed prices going up and up since I started importing too.

That's what ive heard to,well not to worry I've hopefully got a Peter regenyei feder coming :D so I can live without the bastard sword
