SOLD: Pair of rusty 19thC tulwars

Postby admin » 03 Aug 2012 09:45

I bought these many years ago with the intention of cleaning them up and never got round to it. Apart from being rusty they both suffer one major defect - the rear quillon has been snapped off each. Given that I got them as a pair and they both have the exact same damage, I suspect this was done to make them fit in someone's wall display, in an old house or suchlike. Both are still pretty sharp and the blades would probably clean up quite well, one is rock solid on the hilt and the other has a little movement (this can be fixed with glue or resin - original tulwar hilts are held on by resin alone).

I am asking only £50 for the pair.
