the shape is okay, but the material isn't.

we thought a 6mm rubber will dump enough, but it delivery the impact undumped through down to the bone.

especially chops from below, like good ol' Tim is doing quite often will go very painfully through the guard and will cause quite a lot of painful experiences.

at the moment we are thinking about to make something with impactgel... we will see... still on thinkging :-/

What is wrong with the good old escrima forearm guards that lots of us are using? They are velcro-fastened, so can fit over any sleeve size.

Better than any other forearm protectors I have seen (except steel ones).

It is, and the Knight Shop will be there also. But unfortunately neither of these companies stock the escrima forearm guards...

I'm sorry to bring back an old thread, but i'm in dire need of a back-of-head protection.... I checked PBT's website, but could not find it. I did find something, but it doesn't cover the backside of the mask (http://shop.pbtfencing.com/fencing-equipments/fencing-historical-fencing-new/details-of-leather-pad-for-coach-mask.html) ...

So, I'm wondering where to get this if it's available... If not, when will it be? Also, what is the cost?

Otherwise, I'll have to go with allstar, and that's pretty expensive....

Cheers!!

One of my students was asking about back-of-head protection today. Are there any updates on the PBT back-of-head piece? I had a look at their webshop, at the historical fencing section, but I wasn't able to see the item anywhere. Do we know when they are likely to be available for general shopping?

Hello all. The back-of-head should be available by now. I have one, and am quite satisfied with it. It is comparable to the allstar one. If anyone is really interested, just contact PBT and they will give you instructions.
