but in front we would like to inform you about the date.

This time, we will already start at friday morning, so the event will now last 3 whole days.

Dear Fencers,



This year I would like to organise a sabre fencing tournament which will

take place during the Dreynevent. The weapons will be all kinds of heavy

sabre or schlager, the fencing style can be any fencing system from the

18th to the 19th century.



This competition will be a team tournament, with teams coming from different

countries. There should be four fencers in each team. Every team will fight

several matches against various opponents. There will be two winners: first,

the team that has made most points, second, the fencer who has won most

single fights.



The exact set of rules and the details of the competition will be decided

upon as soon as we have some information on how many of you would be

interested to take part in such a tournament. So please send us your reply

as soon as possible!

I was fortunate to go to one of his staff classes at Swordfish this year, as well as having a wee chat over coffee. It was an excellent class and Mr. Preto is a gentleman.

When will you arrive at vienna? Probably we can go there together, or can meet there. ( I will arrive the day before.)

We'll be arriving pretty early on thursday, just after 9 o'clock in the morning I think. Of course it takes a while after that to get to the hostel and so on..
