Doesn't that depend on the copies? The original work has no copyright anymore, the scans can have. (I suppose you don't have an original :D)

Hence the answer to the question relates to where the original is kept and if it has been reproduced in any published works? I have no idea what the origin of my scan is! :)

My copy is from the Huntington Library in California, and they enjoin not to copy, however, where you copy originates, I don't know. I believe there are very few originals, at one time, I could only find 4 anywhere.

I'm currently working on a transcription with to latinist friends. Project started april 2010, we hope to have something up by the end of the year. A translation project will follow.
