I won't......

Family commitments this week mean that only Phil will be there for the first session, I'll be there from next week..

As for you coming... as long as everyone is happy, I have no problem . it is likely to be a very "fresh" group of beginners ... which is rather cool and not something we've dealt with for about 7 years !

A reminder to you all,

Tomorrow night, Frimley Community Centre, 8pm

It was great, I really enjoyed it. I've been wanting to do some Bolognese sword and buckler for years, but never really got the time or opportunity to do more than read bits of the sources every now and again. I really enjoyed actually just sitting back and being taught and Phil is a very good teacher.
My shoulders got knackered though, partly because I need a lighter buckler and partly because those muscles just don't get used much in Fiore longsword or anything else I normally do.
I really enjoyed my couple of assaults as well - I feel like something started to 'click' for me in regards to sword and buckler, which I never felt with trying I.33.

Thanks, Matt, I'll pass that on to Phil and to Jason (who I believe you did an exchange with)

It is nice to hear that you had a "click" moment too, I hope we will see you at least semi regularly.

I think that these two statements are massively related.

Yep, sadly it won't be very often, as Thursdays is either SG8 or family night for me normally (or sleep!), but I like the material and the teaching enough that I will make a special effort when I can.

Well Italian is always better than German. Italian cars, Italian food, Italian fashion, Italian fencing.
