Sorry Neil. Now I'm in China and I'm very busy. Next week I can answer you and find the videos and upload it to Internet.

Thanks for your interest and best regards.

EDIT - BTW I ordered one of the prevost model duelists, so I guess I will be writing about it in the next month when I recieve it.

Just FYI if you want bulk orders for students based on 20 swords.

The order for 20 would be like 3 months or so, and will have a 7% discount on the order.

That is around £140 squid per item, and given they are hand made albeit from a power hammer is not bad.

Anyone got anything more to say on these swords yet? I am looking for a good mid-range supplier for our club, I love the Albion Maestro line, but they are out of many peoples price range, the hanweis are good for what they are, but I'd like something in between the price ranges that I can recommend to people. So what do people think of these? Also anyone who spars with them as opposed to only drills would be useful too, to get an idea of durability..

One of our guys (Loïs) had them in Dijon. They work great, stiffer than the Feders, yet with good flexibility in the thrust. However, the edge dents pretty easily.

More testing is needed.

Okay thanks for that Fab, they certainly sound like they have potential, I would like to see more of them and as you say, see the results of more tests, I still haven't found that middle ground weapon for around £150 that fits the bill, though hopefully those new Tinker/Hanweis might do it.

Hi guys.

I made this video with a Duellist Provost blade (left swordsman):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtisxi1dxdY

It is an amazing sword, safety, we use it to free sparring.

Best regards.

Hello Poul B!

Is it possible for you to bring the sword you bought to Fightcamp? I would very much like to see it (or two? :) ).

I am always looking for better sparring-simulators and this one sounds interesting.

Havnt got it yet, and you will have to ask Fran nicely if you want to play with it.

I think I handled that one for a minute in Dijon. Very nice feeling in the hand and definitely a good i.e. save but "realistic" freeplay-tool - way better than for example the Hanwei Federn!
I'd recommend to invest half an hour and rounden the edges before using. I think that would prevent a lot of edge denting and especially those nasty nicks and dents with small chips of metal scratched ot of the edges....apart from that surely a good buy.

Yeh I handled one of these on the weekend,. IMO they feel like a slightly longer (mainly hilt) version of the hanwei hand and a half, pretty nice really, and a lot better than re-enactment blades you can get for the same money, I would like to know more about how the edges stand up, but my impression so far is that they are very good.
