It would be awesome if you could make it Harry.
We normally meet up on the Friday night (those who can) and start first thing on Saturday morning, with small hangovers... There is LOTS of space outside, and no inside space, so we are victims of the weather, but if the weather is nice then we can continue doing things as late as we like. There are wild deer living there, but you're not allowed to hunt them with bows, spears or in fact any weapon :(.
Camping is free and there is unlimited space. We normally have about 30 people, but I guess there may be more this year. There is no limit to numbers as the space is massive.
On saturday night there will probably be a barbeque with cheap food, courtesy of Sharon and Nigel. On the sunday we can finish whatever time we like - normally we try not to finish late because most of us have to travel home and usually work the next day.
I will probably take the day off work on Friday, so I should be able to help some people getting there etc
As for a ride from or to the airport Harry, it depends which airport! For some of the airports it may actually be quicker and easier to get the train (for you), though if not then probably someone can help with getting from and to the airport.
I hope we'll have a good number of Swedish there this year?
It's also possible now that some of the Linacre guys will be able to make it. 8)

I'm not sure what the best way to get there from Stanstead would be, as it's on the far other side of London to me - someone else here probably knows? I think the Swedes would also be flying to Stanstead?

Modern clothes are fine, and historical clothes are fine - whichever you prefer!

We took the Train from Stanstead to somewere close to GPM and then we were picked up by some Schola people and had a 5 minutes car ride. Can´t remember if we had to change trains or not. The tickets were £ 4-4½ I think.

So the train from Stanstead to Waltham Abbey (where we picked you up) was direct?

It was very easy to go between Stanstead and GPM. It is basically on the way if I remember correctly. Ryanair is the crappiest airline and they deserve severe rectal punishment with Mair's clubs, but as long as you don't have to transfer you should be fine.

I missed my check in with three minutes because I came in late (with a delayed Ryanair flight) they refused to help me call the check in on the way, they sent me to the wrong baggage reclaim and made me buy a new ticket which costed 60 euros (which in Ryanairs world is the same thing as 130 Euros once everything is paid for). I also had to wait 6-7 hours on Stanstead. And since I had a cold the people on the plane thought I was taking drugs, so they broke into the toilet as I was sitting on it, at least that is my theory since there were more cops and dogs on the airport than I have ever seen and the customs checked my passport a whole lot longer than everyone else's. Shitheads.

That's weird & really sucks. What bike have you got? Can't you get a cheap replacement from the breakers or is it really exotic?
