Just an interesting point relating to archery, not really of relevance but very funny. A couple of fellow practitioners tried to set up an archery club at the Caerleon university a few months back, only to be refused flat out because it was in the constitution of the uni that bows may never be permitted on campus, this dates to the 17th century and the reason for said rule is detailed. During the mid 17th century, a student, upset by the low grades he had been given, entered the university (was some form of college back then) with his longbow and shot 4 of the staff dead, so there has since been a strict ban.

And we all thought school shootings were an american phenomenon :-)
