I Have been asked by The Royal Armouries to spread the word about an up coming seminar they are hosting at the museum in Leeds on the 21st July, in which I will be presenting a session. See the link below

http://www.royalarmouries.org/events/events-at-leeds/upcoming-events-and-calendar/calendar/2012-07-21/toxophily-archery-from-europe-and-asia

My session will focus on the research on the personal carriage of arrows by archers from Hastings to the Mary Rose, that Dad and I have carried out and which was published in Arms and Armour, vol7, #2. The Royal Armouries publication.

Thom Richardson Keeper of Armour and Oriental Collections, will be giving a talk on the use of the bow in Europe and Asia from earliest times up until then end of its use on the battlefield.

Both sessions will be followed by handling/Q&A sessions.

Wow. I wish I had a plane ticket to England right about now. That sounds like an excellent event!
