For sale:1896 pattern Edwardian Heavy Cavalry Officers sword

Postby Lidsman » 18 Aug 2016 18:45

1896 pattern Edwardian Heavy Cavalry Officers sword made by Pillin and sold by Hamburger Rogers & Co. Most probably made between 1901-1910. According to Matt, Hamburger were the official outfitters to the Horseguards and therefore favored by lots of other heavy cavalry officers. It’s not sharpened.

Here are some stats:
Total length: 106cm
Blade length: 90cm
POB: 13cm
Weight with scabbard: 1,5kg
Weight sword only: 1kg

It's a really nice sword in good condition and I think that the pictures talk for themselves. The sword is firm in the handle and sits very firmly in the scabbard.

I sent pictures of the sword to Robert at The Sword Pattern and he valued it to £700-750.

The price for my Schola-Brothers is £650 including shipping within the EU. Would you like to buy this sword but live outside the EU, please send me a mess and I get you the shipping cost.

Why do I sell? Well... someone dropped the name Mateusz Sulowski to me and I was lost.

To sweeten the deal I'll include a plastic bag of real Elk/Moose shit with a cerificate.
