Hello all, I just wanted to invite you to check out my brand new website....it's been completely redone and is much improved.

It's fully e-commerce capable, so you can see exactly what I have in stock and click to purchase anything that's available.

You can also see pictures and descriptions of previously sold items, custom commission work, etc.

thanks for looking!

That's a nice clean site, I like it - functional yet smart. Hopefully it's also easy to maintain!

Can I ask if this sword: https://jesse-belsky-stageswords.squarespace.com/rapiers/dish-hilt-rapier
Is based on this one? http://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/a-cup-hilted-sword-726-c-a10aed63af

I find that antique particularly interesting as the combination of a small, shallow dish hilt with large finger rings, true ricasso, and what appears to be quite a formidable blade is unusual (at least to me). I would be very interested to know what it weighed and how it handled, and in particular if the blade is the original one for the hilt.

Glyn.

Thank you Mike!

And Glyn, you are exactly right. Good eye :) That is indeed the sword I based mine on...obviously my version is much simplified. I'm afraid I don't have any more information about it than you do though...I scaled my hilt off of the full length sword photo and the overall length given in the description, but outside the basic dimension I can't speak to the original. I'd love to know the answers to those questions though...
