Sources for small-sized gambesons

Postby Monzambano » 19 May 2014 08:23

Does anyone have a source for reasonably-priced small-sized gambesons? For our club, we bought a job-lot of marked-down (for discolouration) gambesons in different sizes for €60 each, but even the S size drowns some of our adolescent and female members.
I've considered fencing jackets, but their main function is to prevent tearing, not protect against blows. We're not talking about steel feders, just nylons, but still.

Hm, a fair number of views, but no response. Is there any desire out there for basic gambis in the XS (+/-) range? We'd take at most two, this is a niche for us.

I'm afraid I can't think of any suppliers that make XS gambesons - my suppliers tend to go from S up to XL sometimes even to XXl or XXXL, but not very far in the smaller direction.

Spes AP jacket for wimen is rather smallish in it's sizes I think.

For the female members who want to continue, this is clearly an option, but as you say, it's on the expensive side for us as a club who want to have sensible kit on hand for new entrants.
