Great, thanks for the support. The more people buy books like this, the more motivated the authors will be to produce future volumes.

Well, the PDF might be worth buying then - it's only a few pounds for the PDF.

Hi all,
Thanks for your continued support.

This is a unique and massive collection of first-hand British sources describing hand-to-hand fighting, from the 17th to the early 20th century. These are the primary sources for how the arts we study were actually used in conflict. This corpus of work covers most of the important known English language accounts of close combat from c.1600-c.1900 and as such should be of interest to anyone involved with HEMA or military history. Themes covered include the ongoing cut vs. thrust debate, the reality of the 'afterblow' and the relative merits of various types of weapon.

Please help support this project by ordering a copy of D.A.Kinsley's book today - the PDF version is a mere £4.27. If you've bought a previous edition you will find a lot of new material in this and this will be the final definitive version. It will not stay in print for very long unless people buy it - please lend your support to this project to keep the material in print.
Buy your copy today! -

Alas, I too bought one of his books only a few months ago. Reading it so far has been very interesting, though!

Well it's good to know that a previous edition is appreciated. I can only reiterate that if you want the new material then the PDF download is only £4, which is cheaper than most magazines!
