FS: sabre

No idea what pattern this is, age or anything other than it needs a clean but everything is solid.
Blade is 27" long and blunt, but the tip has been ground to a point.

It is a piquet weight 1897 pattern British infantry officer's sword, from George V's reign. It has lost 5 inches of the tip unfortunately. Still, it's worth it for that price!

Pretty much what I had guessed, thanks.

It came in a joblot of stuff found in an umbrella stand by a chum and might be useful for spares, solo swinging or remounted with a fencing blade for someone.
