Updates to the Academy of Historical Arts online shop

Postby KeithFarrell » 17 Nov 2012 12:40

I have made several updates to our online shop. It should now be significantly easier to purchase items related to historical European martial arts, and we will also be adding some more re-enactment themed items to the shop over the next few weeks. Our intention is to make it easier for all historical enthusiasts and hobbyists to find the right sort of equipment for our various activities, at accessible prices.

For the craftsmen in this community, if you would be interested in discussing a trade agreement with us so that your goods can be sold through our website, then please feel free to get in touch with us at corsairs-wares@triquetra-services.org and we will be happy to discuss matters with you.

Edit: we have rebranded, and are no longer calling ourselves "Corsair's Wares". To make matters considerably simpler, the shop is now just the Academy of Historical Arts shop, since it is the AHA running a shop. Nice and simple!

We have updated our jewellery section to include some very shiny items. One of the crafting instructors within the Academy of Historical Arts has opened a new business venture, Dragon Flower Jewellery, and has asked us to be her online retailer. If you like shiny things then you should definitely have a look at some of her pieces in our shop!

PRICE REDUCTION!

We are now offering the "Obsesseo" DVD by David Rawlings and the London Longsword Academy at the lower price of £20 per copy. This DVD is an excellent resource for sword and buckler enthusiasts, and this new lower price in our shop will help to make it much more accessible and affordable than it was before :)

Handmade flutes are now available through the Corsair's Wares online shop.

We are proud to be able to offer the handmade flute as part of our musical instrument range. These flutes are hand carved from specially selected plastic composites and then tuned electronically to ensure the finest sound. By using plastic composites it is possible for these flutes to stay in tune more reliably in conditions that would cause their wooden or metal cousins to suffer.

All musical instruments are offered in plain black, but can be painted for a small additional cost.

Are you guys shortly going to be responsible for impromptu flute ensembles at HEMA events?
.... or I could be completely wrong.

I have been tinkering with our countries and addresses database, and success! The Corsair's Wares website should now be able to accept account registrations from people living in most countries within the EU, as well as America and Canada. If anyone notices any problems with the update then please let us know as soon as possible so that I can apply a fix.

This should make it easier for us to add postage costs to items for shipping within the EU, making it easier for our European customers to place orders with us.

We now have a box of the PBT throat protectors in stock and available for immediate dispatch.

These are some of the best items in the historical fencing community for keeping your throat safe - they come highly recommended!
