An interesting longsword event took place at Vienna last weekend, I have found about it from the blog of a Hungarian participant.

The website of the event: http://www.schwertkampfturnier.at/

PBT was advertising this event to me when I was visiting their head office. They were pretty juiced up about the event, which is great. Maybe next year the event will gather wider attendance and audience.

Hi Joeli,

Based on Schundi's account and pictures it seems to me that the tournament was great.
Großartige Kämpfe, Emotionen und strahlende Gesichter

(Great fights, emotions and beaming faces)

48 participants, from 3 countries actually isn't too bad

The organisers have promised a report about the event, naturally in German, some videos. So I think it could be interesting to visit the site a couple of days later. BTW they have a discussion forum called Das Feedbackcenter. I do hope that there will be an interesting discussion about the right of way rule, it seems that this rule wasn't mentioned in the tournament's rulebook, but was applied by the judges, causing some real confusion.
