The following are still available :

Old file. Diff quench (though not visible on the pic as the line is rather high), forge tempered to dark yellow. OAL 186 mm. Naturally colored veg tanned leather sheath.

An old file folder (I made the blade about 3 years ago, which explains a lot) :

), diff HT, dark yellow temper, oak handle. OAL (folded/unfolded) 205/231 mm (that's not much of a difference, but that's due to the long 'tail'). Blade is about 101 mm long when unfolded, and 3 mm thick - a lot of meat on this one. The temper line, though a bit low, is nice and crisp. I'm asking 80 euros for that one.
I can add brass, copper or tin inlays on the handle, for an additional price depending on the complexity of the task.

Of these two :

Only the top one is available.
Old files, diff quench, yellow temper in my mom's oven, veg tanned leather wrapped handle. OALs (resp top/bottom) is 154 mm, not counting the leather bits. 80 euros.

Plus the push dagger, friction folder and hammer on the previous page. And maybe the original Faërie Folder.

Ok, made a sheath for the 'brother' just above :

And here's the latest thing I finished - from the same kind of files as above :

On this one I tried clay quenching, as you can see the contrast is sharper between the two zones. OAL 161 mm.

Both scabbards are made as usual.

Both knives are 100 euros each, should you want to buy them (and I'd happily sell them actually).

And many thanks to the gentleman who bought the hammer. I hope he will be even more pleased to have it than I was when I was making it - and trust me I was.

I made a box for the hammer :
(sorry for the low quality pics)

Inspired by ohers from the 1560s. Brass inlaid in plain oak, mild steel hinges and all.

I had to fix the wire wrapping on this hammer, as the wood underneath warped a bit. I hope it has arrived to its final (and possibly satisfied) owner.

Don't forget that unless specified, all these knives mentionned above are still awaiting a new friend. Prices are as said, but haggling isn't forbidden.

In the meanwhile, I finished this rustic "flintknapped" friction folder :

Old file, diff quench, tempered to dark straw, OAL 160/120 mm. Blade is a good 4 mm thick at base. Like most of my knives, it has been aggressively tested on wild Burgundian sausage.
Times are tough, so if you want it it's only 80 euros plus shipping.

Must better adjust the handle, sharpen the blade (and probably re-etch it), peen the tang and make the scabbard.

Could well be. Though the pics make him look better than what I think it is - the fuller isn't symmetrical nor too well-shaped, there are a few forge marks on the blade (not hammer marks, but the kind of marks you get on hand-worked steel). A very rustic piece, actually. The handle is quite narrow, which is unusual but not unknown, although only on smaller baselards - and this beast is over 40 cms. But I thought it could better fit a hand covered in a gauntlet.

I'm considering 'aging' it a bit, not so much to hide the few imperfections, but rather to plainly develop its character.

Blade on that bowie is extremely well done. What's the length?

Blade length is 10". Which makes the entire thing a good 15". The clip will be sharp - sharpest near the point, and with more and more angle further form it. Mainly for aesthetic reasons.

BTW I also agree on trading items of similar value (more or less) than the mentionned prices of the above knives.

Handle, guard and all now perfectly fit on the Bowie, same on the stilettu. All I need now is some time at my parent's.

Still not sure if I should antique the basilard or not.

I love the Holbein dagger / Baselard and the knife with the chipped out handle. How long is your waiting list for either of those ?

(the bowie is very nice too but being a yank I'm more impressed with foreign designs..)

The baselard is Mr Bennett's, and the chipped out handle folder is available.

No waiting list at the moment as time isn't mine at all. I hope it'll get better soon.
