Good stuff Nick. Sorry I haven't been able to sit down and properly look at the flourish yet. We should set a date for my next visit.

OK,Matt! I take it you'll be coming straight from work therefore I'll email the group in advance so you don't make a wasted journey.

Expanded FF

Postby DaveB » 11 Nov 2008 11:25

I just checked my calendar: its the 2 weeks after next I'm going to be away. Next Monday though, I will endeavour to bring an expanded Fiore flourish - with the complementary moves for the opposing swordsman!

Hello Martin,

Hope you're doing well.Yep!You might be in for a bit of a surprise (if you get my meaning).
It looks like another contract has come up for LUL work which might mean I won't be able to run SG4.Therefore I'll need to hand the keys and club accounts over to a member.I'm not sure exactly what hours I'll be working but it looks like they''ll clash with our training times which brings me to the question.

Who'll take on the running of SG4?

Let me know asap.

Or the members of SG4 could join Nigel's new SG8 class.

Unexpected Povery Impacts on Feb 09 Classes

Postby DaveB » 09 Feb 2009 19:31

As I told Matt this afternoon, I am haemorraging money at a vast rate of knots, to the extent that I will not even be coming tonight as planned but this morn. In a desperate attempt to stem the tide, have confined myself to the officers' mess. And Paris. But that was already paid for anyway. What this means for SG-4 proponents:

a) I'm not looking to buy a federschwert any time soon, and;

b) I'll not be about at all this month. Actually, that's mostly due to geography rather than poverty. I should have said I was confining myself to the mess and the north, where everything is cheaper.

How did training go last night?
As I said to Matt & Michael,I'll be on night shifts for an estimated 5 weeks (maybe 6) and, depending on what locations I have to go to,I might be able to make some of the sessions.

Hey guys
SG4, what is happening, if you guys do go train down at SG8 remember were still SG4 through and through.
I wish I could continue down there, but I’m stuck in oxford for a bit and it is devoid of HEMA classes any suggestions.

training went well on Monday, 6 of us so was enough people! did some drilling and then some practice of covering into a face smash with the pommel :D nice new move!

Matt helped us understand the differences and use of distance.

I can't make it next Monday so might go down to Nigels if I can get there from work quick enough. ANd yeah if we go there we'll still be SG4!
