Hi all,
I found some cheap flights and decided to leave chilly Melbourne for hopefully warmer climes.

I curious to know if there are any classes I could visit while I am over.
I particularly interested in see what you do on the other side of the world.
How you train? What equipment you use? Whether it is true that your beer is warm?

I will be staying in a hotel near Earl's Court station for the free WiFi and have no idea how to get around London, so if there is a class, any hints on how to get there would be fantastic.

You're very welcome to visit my class in Ealing (Tuesday nights from 7.45pm). It is very easy to get to from Earl's Court - just 4 stops west on the Piccadilly line to Ealing Common - full directions on the website www.swordfightlondon.com

I'm pretty sure it will not be warmer here than in Melbourne however!

Hi (I am assuming Matt),

eek, I will be leaving for Leeds on the Tuesday morning, and as much as love to go it would mean missing out on the small time my wife has allowed me for Royal Armouries.

The chance to see a sword older than 20 years that it is not hanging on a novelty pub in Hobart is too tempting.

Could I perhaps buy you a pint on another night for a hello?

PS: we had Antarctic winds coming up in the last week, 1C at night. Snow fights in Hobart, people still skiing in our alpine resorts. Very weird weather, but hoping it is warmer in London.

That's a shame.
To be honest that would be hard for me that week, as I live 30 miles south of London now and drive in to teach on Tuesdays. There are other clubs in London worth visiting though - for example The Exiles, the London Sword & Dagger Club and The Company of Maisters.

The London S&D Club has classes on a Thursday evening, near Goodge Street tube station.
