Best Club for me?

Postby iskander » 09 Aug 2010 11:13

Hello. I wonder if anyone can give me some advice on the following:

I will be coming to London this September. I'll be living and studying there for the next two years, possibly more.

I am very interested in taking up rapier/rapier and dagger etc.

My campus is situated in South Bank. As for where I will actually be living, I'm not entirely sure yet but I just have a feeling it will be somewhere in North London.

It's been a while since I was last in London so my feel for the place is a little rusty. But based on what I'm looking to study, and where I'm going to be situated, can anyone recommend a suitable club?

Thanks for your help.

For regular rapier classes in London there is only one clear option - fightmedieval.com

I like swords more than you.

Btw can I just make a quick clarification/amendment:

It's just occurred to me that 'club' was not the best choice of word. I actually meant class - i.e. I wasn't intending to inquire outside Schola Gladiatoria!

If SG did teach regular rapier classes, I would be interested.

Again, many thanks though.

Hi there,
hope i'm not treading on anyones toes by posting this but i'm currently training with Dave at fight Medieval & he rocks.
He does a rapier class on Wednesdays nearish to the South Bank, also he does private classes which are very cheap in Hither Green, which is about 15 mins from London Bridge.
he's also a nice guy..
You can contact him via his site www.fightmedieval.com
Hope this helps.
