Fuzzy, no surely not? :D

Anyone going down to t'park tomorrow?? :?:

I can make sure I'm there for 2pm, provided at least someone else also confirms by say Sat 11am-ish. :)

If the weather's anything like today's, it'll be well worth it.. 8)

Should be dropping by at some time between 2 and 3. Not sure how much kit I'll be bringing though- it depends on how embarrassing I'll find lugging it to an earlier appointment.

I'm in no state to make it on Saturday. Just so you have an idea about exactly how rough I'm feeling- The Pembury's beer festival started yesterday and finishes Sunday, and there is no way I'm making that.

Just because I'm missing out, doesn't mean that you guys should. It's a short walk from Hackney Downs/ Hackney Central stations.

Anyone planning on showing up today? I'm on the fence (since the Met thinks light rain will start at around 3 pm), but if others will be there I could get off the damn fence and, you know, fence.

I'm afraid I'm not planning to. Rain, tiredness, and I just narrowly avoided sewing my hand to the bag-attempt.

Ok. Well, if anybody decides they're going, ring me: 07847 032 007. Otherwise, I too will slack off.

*sigh* I managed to leave my shinai behind on the train. Unless the nice railway people display unusual competence in finding it, I'll have trouble being useful on Saturday.

Muppet :P
Are you going to get a replacement, or wait for the nylons?

Hi guys, I just thought I'd jump in here to mention something:
Nylons will not *replace* shinai. Shinai are far safer and require less protective gear, the nylons are halfway to steel. So shinai will still be used lots in Schola and will certainly remain the first sparring weapon used by beginners. Sparring safely with the nylons will require both more equipment and more experience.

Doh! Sorry to hear that, Peter. Is anyone else planning on showing up on Saturday? Post here if you are, or ring me, otherwise I'll stay home.

Will be in the park today (at the usual spot) from 14:30, if anybody can make it.
