I missed the most recent messages - a couple of us turned up there and had a good time doing cutting and sparring practice. It was a lovely day for it - I'd definitely be up for meeting there again...

Sorry I missed it this week - a friend was unexpectedly in town from San Francisco. I'm definitely up for meeting regularly on Saturdays as well.

I'm up for making this a regular thing while the weather holds.

My attendence next saturday is entirely dependent on how well a software install/test thingy goes. Hopefully it will be done in time for me to get there, but it will be tight.

I can. And I suspect I will feel the urge to hit things.

I've just been given the predicted time table. If hell freezes over and there are no unpleasant surprises I should be in King's Cross by 2:15 or so.

I won't be able to do the next weekends. I have trips arranged for them. Tokyo this weekend, Madrid the one after that (I might miss that weeks class aswell) and Leipzig the weekend after that one.

Well, not having noticed this thread (d'oh!) Phil and I showed up last week, looked for you reprobates for half an hour and then did 90 minutes of awesome sparring in the sun. Three benefits for me: I got back into things after my eye surgery; I had my first ever proper sparring session since getting all my protective kit (and didn't get my arse kicked too badly); and we had random passers-by stopping to take pictures (which stroked my ego no end).

Then it was off to the pub for some beer garden and pubsnack action with deconstruction and analysis of the day's learnings.

All in all .... WIN!

I'm definitely up for this saturday, but I still have no idea where you guys are meeting.

I know I'm a latecomer, but can I propose the following:

1) we meet at the big white fountain which is relatively easy to find from all travel connections?

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en ... 03538&z=19

2) everyone who plans to come exchanges phone numbers in case of last minute cock-ups? Mine is 07968 061588.

I'm happy to coordinate on the day.

I can make it this weekend (assuming the weathers good) now. The Tokyo trip has been moved back.

Heya Tim, glad the eye surgery went well. The week before, we met in the middle of the field north of that (the Google maps link is earlier in this thread), and then moved under the trees next to the fence at the north end of that field. I'm happy to meet next to the fountain instead (it's definitely a nice prominent landmark).
