Passchen question

What is a parade?

It's the technique for No 30. But i haven't a clue what it shows, whether a parade is a punch, or the block.

I concur, but wait for Nigel - he's looked at Passchen more than me.

Dunno, but in fencing a parade is normally a parry, and in smallsword fencing it is sometimes specifically the circular parry of a thrust (still used in modern foil).
