A late official method of bayonet, really complete for fight in trench warfare, but so late^^

Some money quotes (apart from the stuff on how to train whole bodies of men, or how to fight with the middle part of the rifle at short range)--

p. 5 on measure-- the longest distance at which you can hit with bayonet, knife, or fist, which the fighter should always have a good sense of.

p. 7. "There is no need to distinguish btw a parry and a beat. When the fighter sees a bayonet within measure, he beats it away, thrusts or throws, and does it again if need be, without worrying about whether this is a parry, a beat or a riposte"

There also is an observation that to see a real naked bayonet in combat provokes in the soldier "a brutal, short and absolute tension"-- in other words, the adrenaline dump. Exercizes should aim to reproduce this.
