Mountain Scouting, Farrel 1881

Primarily a general text on US Indian Campaigning, with chapters of bivouacking, horsehandling, skirmishing and such.

In the Muskertry chapter, I`ve found the earliest mentioning of airguns as a traning tool for rifle marksmanship as well as some discussion on dry fire drills. There are also an appendix in regards to swimming, which has dry swimming drills. A highly entertaining read, if somewhat peripheral to the core material on the forum. :D
