One of the proudest names in martial arts. James Figg.

For those not in know Figg was an expert swordsman, stick-fighter and pugilist. He is widely considered the first heavy-weight boxing champion - at a time when bouts were fought without gloves and much in the way of rules. In the early 18th century Figg fought all comers with the broadsword, with his famous motto:

“Here I am. Jemmy Figg from Thame.
I will fight any man in England”

We've lost a few people recently due to pressures of work and family commitments, so we're back down to a hard core of two who meet in the park every Sunday morning. We've lost a few people recently due to pressures of work and family commitments, so we're back down to a hard core of two who meet in the park every Sunday morning.
